I thought a separate thread might be nice for posting tattoos and body art! My only requests are that the pictures are modest, the content is inoffensive, and you include in the description 1) who the art is on, and 2) who did the art (doesn't need to give away identities, just something like: "I tattooed this piece on myself" or "I tattooed this piece on a friend/client" or "A devilishly handsome tattoo artist tattooed this on me" or "I used henna to do this design on my daughter" or whatever.) Please feel free also to add any description or meaning to the tattoos/body art you would like.

Nice idea arcea,tattoos or body art is great way of self expression,I have three tattoos myself- a lions head,done mostly in black on my upper right arm,a sky blue Pegasus on my right arm just under the lions head and on my left upper arm I've a heart that has burst into flames...have posted pics of all of them on previous pi sites so will Probaby do so again,each tattoo has its own personal meaning ,also all three were done by the same artist some 20 years ago....god im getting old

Lady General, what a great idea! You will be able to share plenty here, given your line of work and the beautiful pieces you already have. I only have 2. I am dreaming of a third one. All of them are simple but very meaningful. The first I got when my Poppy died. I was his purple butterfly.
The second, I got after my only trip overseas, on my own, for a month. It is to remind me of my strength. The black rose on my left shoulder.
Both were done by a tattooist called, Matt.

Sweet. Those are very nice. Simple yet beautiful.
Don't have any of my own. Maybe someday, if I can think of one that I would be proud of. Just can't think of anything that would be all that meaningful right now. We have a renowned tattoo artist here in Manhattan (Kansas, not New York). One of the best in the world.
If I made that decision, my first choice would be one to honor my grandfathers, both veterans of WWII who have since passed on.

Ooo, love the pics ckyle7! I don't have any tattoos myself yet, but I've been thinking about getting two. One is going to be a Grace, to represent the old PI and all the amazing and wonderful frirnds I made there. The other would be an octopus, to represent my college family. But I'm not sure when I would have them done.
