Back when the first edition of this thread popped to life I think I answered both, but that I liked cake more.
However... now I'd say pie. Don't get me wrong, I still like cake (especially if it happens to be either dark chocolate or a spongey white cake served with strawberries and whipped cream!) but in the past couple of years I have found myself preferring pie more and more... and, every time I passed on cake to have some pie I thought of that thread, lol.

Cake.... Last week I gave baking a go,made a delicious ginger cake,was well pleased with the results,this week I tried my hand at a chocolate sponge cake turned out well but I wasn't totally happy with it...
