Sea Girl's Call Empty Sea Girl's Call

    Post by Ckyle7 Thu Aug 29, 2013 6:15 am

Sidenote: To those who have no idea what I am on about, Sea Girl is my alter ego. I have not brought her out since the lost days of the old PI but in the past couple of days, she has resurfaced and even changed my real world persona! She has calmed me, allowing words to flow easier and logic to encompass my decisions in day to day life. I missed her beyond understanding.

This is a role playing thread. I put it in Creative Arts because role playing is writing, also known as expression. All art, in my eyes, is a form of expression. Anyone can join in on Sea Girls world. She just asks that you keep it tasteful but always bordering on the boundaries of acceptable. So here goes. Enter Sea Girl......

Awakening from a tireless and infinate sleep, Sea Girl brings her hands up to stretch, and strokes her long, ebony hair to make sure it has grown. Rubbing her eyes, the pale mermaid absorbs her surroundings, noticing the gentle lapping of waves against the shore, the echoing silence of the cloudless sky above. The sand, tickling little circles along the scales of her fins, as the cliffs along the coast threaten to engulf her existence.

"Who am I looking for?" she whispers, to no one in particular.

Outlining the curve of her hips and tail with her soft fingertips, she remembers that one of her beloved Sirens is long lost. Forever an enigma. Out of reach. The sadness on her face is dissolved, as she begins to comprehend... She still has one Siren to play with. The blonde beauty who never left her side. She calls, with a sing-song bellow, to the lovely mermaid.

    "Siren. My lovely...."

Calling for those who are like her. Calling for belonging. She ponders to herself, who will come and play in the sea, wander in the waves, while she waits for her Blonde Diva..........

Gosh, that felt good! I've only just begun.

    YES!!!

*Floating along the warm ocean currents, she drifts wherever the swell takes her. Of course keeping eyes and ears open for any sign of a ship wreck and humans to play with. Yearning for the old days when there were more people to play with in Sirens Isle, she laments on the past.

Just as she is about to go find a rock to curl up on she hears a call through the waves. Eyes lighting up and a big smile on her face, she twists her body in the direction of the call and dives expertly through the ocean swells to join her only sister remaining.

She pops out of the water beside Seagirl. With a laugh she wraps an arm around her sisters shoulder and whispers a secret in her ear.*

Sea Girl giggles at the warmth of her beauty's breath and the gollden locks that tickle her neck*

"So wonderful to see you again, my lovely." She whispers back.

*Knowing that their Queen is lost and so is the brilliant Griffin, Adara, she gives her a soft, sorrowful smile*

"It has been too long. Let us search for humans and other creatures to play with. I hear a Lady General sails these waters and there are other unidentified characters to be found...." *She arches her back and throws her dripping hair forward to form a majestic arch of triumph, the sparkling sea raining above both of their heads.

"Lets begin the search...." She announces with passion.

*Glides seductively through the currents at her sisters side. She smirks as her mind wanders to ship wrecks and the fabulous treasures she finds as well as playthings.

Her smirk vanishes as she casts a sidelong glance at Sea Girl. She knows the pain in Sea Girls heart at the loss of their beloved Swall. Wishing to take the pain away, she reaches for Sea Girls hand and smiles encouragingly.

"We'll find old friends and new. Sirens Isle will reach the glory of the old days. One day perhaps our Queen will return, but until that time, we must soldier on."

She pulls her sister in the direction of a black shape looming on the horizon*

Holding Amethyst by the waste, Sea Girl dives in to the water, with a flick of her tail. The two nestle in to each other while the water hugs the curve of their bodies. Bubbles emerge from the movement and warmth of their unified movement. As it had always been. Two Siren Sisters, once again owning the Siren Isles, awoken from their deep and furtive slumber

The two beauties surface in front of a charred and stagnant wreck, panting from their swim as one, fingers interlocking in each other's hair as they scan the scene for any living signs.

"I think it is time to play" Sea Girl whispers, seductively....

*Amethyst grins and then spies a tentacle. Giving a low hiss she breaks from Sea Girls hold and swims over to slap the tentacle away. The beast emerges and with a hard thump of her tail she sends a jet of water to the giant squid. The squid advances on her, so she lifts her long golden hair out of the water and twirls it into a lasso, whipping the giant squid in the face. The squid backs away while Amethyst rises in the water.

"Leave this place" she says in her most commanding voice. Out of all the sea creatures, she hates the giant squids. They are the most obnoxious scavengers of the deep ocean.
"As a guardian of Siren Isle I command you leave. You have no business here! GO!"
She watches it glide away through the water.
    "Disgusting filth" she mutters.

She turns back to the wreckage and her sister.
"There could be more squids Sea Girl, but until that time let's go investigate."

Amethyst swipes a pearl necklace floating past her and she drapes it over her neck.*

Sea Girl watches intently as Amethyst asserts her power over the nasty Squid. She smiles inwardly as the memories of her blonde sister's fierce loyalty and protectiveness come back to her.

She pulls a long dark lock from her eyes as she skims the surface of the water, alongside her sister, taking up her hand as they get closer to the wreckage.

Their eyes meet as a sorrowful yet serene singing echoes over the waves, yet from here, they could see no trace of a living being.

"I think someone else is here, Dear One..." She says eagerly.

With a swish of her tail, she dives in to the rough waves to get a closer look......

The knots tied by the crew of the Kings Fancy, denying Charon from the dark depths beneath the swift messenger ship, were now doing their best to reverse his fortunate survival. His fingers rubbed raw as he cursed at the sea swollen ropes around his waist in vain. A shoal of giant squids had attacked long after the sun was below the horizon the previous night. The horror filled eyes of the captain, tentacles wound through and about his legs and pulling the grizzled old man over the railing into the darkness, still burned in his memory. He recalled men yelling, hacking at soft fleshy tentacles, spilling viscous black blood onto the deck. Then finally two enormous clubs rising from below the ship. Each thicker and longer by far than the mainmast. Every sucker barbed and dripping venom. The sound of the ship being rent in two, hundreds of wood planks snapping from a larger squid than any veteran aboard had seen--had heard of from the drunken revel of story tellers in the port side dives--was louder than the thunder of a hundred storms. His last memory of the night was the mizzenmast sounding a loud report and falling toward his terrified form.

The prow of the ship was far beneath the waves, but by some miracle, the stern was stuck upon a huge barrier reef outside an island the doomed ship was passing when attacked. The rising tide and waves were working to correct this oversight and add another trophy for the denizens below to call home. They also worked to snap Cheron from his terrible reminiscing and he redoubled efforts to free himself. His eyes scanned along the remains of the ship, searching for anything with which to loosen or cut the rope, and settled on a gore crusted barb one of the creatures responsible for destroying the ship and crew had left behind. Using the rope to steady his footing he rose and walked along the slanted and shattered deck. Numb hands pried his salvation from the wood and he set a serrated edge of tooth against ropes and began to saw.

Cherons hands were bleeding from a dozen lacerations by the time the strands of rope finally snapped and he was able to pull the rope from around his body. Finally free to move about, he instead dropped back to the deck, took a deep breath, and tried to massage feeling back into his weary fingers and palms. He winced as the dried salt along his skin met with exposed wounds and struggled against the weariness that threatened to lull him into resting too long. His thoughts drifted to the missive he carried for his king. The warring tribes of the north were raiding coastal towns in ever increasing numbers. Never before had their northern neighbors committed such atrocities... and certainly not with the efficiency exhibited now. There were no warnings before the attacks. No witnesses until the enemy was upon them. Something had changed. Something had banded the tribes together, drove them forward, with an intelligence and malice Charons realm of Stridesgate wasn't prepared for. The bodies left behind were testimony to savagery not seen in centuries. Very few survived these attacks. Fewer were sane afterwards. None were women.

Dark rumors spoke of women bound in circles of strange symbols surrounded by men chanting in mysterious tongue. Shapes and shadows rising from the earth raped the women as their screams rose in a cacophony with the chants around them. Those who died those nights were fortunate. Weeks later any survivors were killed as the misshapen shapes of the demons they helped bring forth clawed from their distended stomachs. Feeling no particular attachment to their mothers they then devoured them over the course of days. It was for those stories he had embarked on his quest to speak with the Mages of Divine on Chimera Isle, far to the west.

Finding his strength and resolve he stood once again. Rising just as the ocean waves won their battle against the stubborn remains of the Kings Fancy. Tossing his battered form into the sea.

    Post by Arcea-Drakkarre Sun Sep 01, 2013 10:37 pm

    (I am thoroughly pleased!)

A distant storm darkened the edge of the horizon as a bitter wind carelessly tossed about the thick, silver hair of the proud woman standing solidly at the prow of her swaying ship. Standing taller than most men with a quiet strength and intense blue eyes which sparked with an inner fire and intelligence to rival even the scholars at Farafelle, Arcea Drakkarre scanned the mystical waves with eyes like falcon's.
Whispers of her heritage and travels had created spectacular rumors, yet none but a few new the truth. Known as the Lady General, she had once been the ruler of many, a personal confidant to a king, a war lord, and the hero and dread to thousands. Now, seven years after she had disappeared and was presumably deceased, she had returned with a mysterious pirate crew unlike any had heard of; tall, grey-blue skinned men with an almost reptilian appearance hinted in their features, pierced and tattooed, and quietly cruel. Despite having returned to the known lands of men only recently, tales of dread had trickled along the coast, gaining her ship and crew an.....acceptable reputation.

"It will do....for now." She hissed through her teeth at no one in particular.

Off in the distance, in a northeasterly direction she saw a darkened mass cluttering the waters round about the small island fabled to be Siren's Isle, though no man had seen a siren in ages. Curious about potential spoils, the Lady General ordered her crew to direct the ship and investigate...time for a hunt. As the ship moved the men sang, an almost hissing tenor which lightly mimicked the sound of the ocean's soul, sadly drifting across the water's surface and cresting with each foam-tipped wave.

Sea Girl's Call Empty Re: Sea Girl's Call

    Post by Ckyle7 Wed Sep 04, 2013 4:16 am

Grabbing her sister's hand, tightly, Sea Girl notices two distinct and seperate activities within their gaze. One was a burly and rigid figure, camouflaged by the density and darkness of the midnight shipwreck. The second was more a sound than a movement. Hidden within the castle-like cliffs surrounding the mouth of Siren Isle was what appeared to be another ship. Long, silver and blue banners caressed the broken mast. It was clearly in better condition than the first wreck but a little smaller. From this form came a sound unfamiliar to the mermaids. A sound quite vile and torturous. A sound of many. It reminded Sea Girl of the sound made by the Sea Lizards that fought over territory back in the Bay of Erica, where she grew up.

Her round, aquamarine and almond shaped eyes widened as she realised that these two new comers may not be safe. The first appeared to have been through a great struggle, the man may need help or food. His ship is lost but he is not. Yet, he might cause her and her reunited sister harm....

The other unknown playthings were many. They made scary sounds and may be strong enough to hurt them. She was about to pull her beautiful golden haired sister away when a silvery glint caught her eye, on the ship that still flew banners. The most graceful and beautiful human female she had ever seen, stood proudly upon the front deck of her dying beast of a ship. Her metallic locks whipped in front of her as the wind carried her thoughts in the same path as her hair. She could not see Sea Girl as she had human sight but she wildly intrigued the mermaid. Her moments of fear were quite fleeting.

Sea Girl turned to her sister and drank in her face, her expression, trying to read her emotions. Dread but curiosity were deep in her eyes and she raised the corner of her mouth in a sly smile, just for her Siren.

“May haps we should split up and investigate. Which ship would you like to play with, my love?” She whispered intensely.

Her golden sister smiled wickedly and Sea Girl knew the answer. With a strong thrust of her tail and a flick of her luscious ebony hair, she was swimming gracefully in the direction of her next adventure….

Sea Girl's Call Empty Re: Sea Girl's Call

    Post by Arcea-Drakkarre Mon Sep 09, 2013 7:32 pm

As the worn and weathered Agyros Magus sailed toward to the wreckage upon the reef, Arcea thought she spotted some movement upon the broken ship's deck. Yet as she peered to look more closely another sight caught her eye; moving just beneath the surface toward her ship there appeared to be a gem-like amethyst glimmer. As the shape drew closer Arcea realized that it must be a siren, one of the few remaining, she was sure. And she wasn't the only one to take notice. As her crew discovered the siren's existence their song began to change. Rather than the lightly hissing melodic sounds which caressed each ocean wave, their voices were now sharp, staccatto, filled with a heaviness which imbued the air with the bitter tang of hatred.
When the siren was close, she rose halfway out of the water, shimmering golden hair flowing down her glistening torso. And she began to sing. Her seductive melody, high in pitch, almost wheedling had the potential of weakening the listener's will into abeyance... or rebellion, and there were few sounds Arcea disliked more. Gritting her teeth she glared down at the siren as her crew's song of ancient hatred strengthened. She had heard stories from her crewmen about the ancient bad blood between sirens and the Illiceanie Sea Lizards - feuds for land causing the bloodshed of thousands, instilling in both races a fury and revulsion that was palpable.
As the children of the ocean conducted their battle of sound the sky began to darken, the wind held more force and cut against the flesh, the very elements joining in the fray. Glaring down at the siren the Lady General held up her fist to demand the silence of her crew. None took notice. In annoyance she whirled around and raised her cultured, slighty husky voice, cutting through the songs of warring peoples,

"Aviente yeodred sulyv!" an order to be silent. A few obeyed. "Telieg jaqari gustrehi!" a threat of punishment. More quieted, and soon began to spread the order of silence to the others, and as their voices stilled so, too, did that of the siren who stared up at the Lady General with large eyes filled with glittering curiosity. Arcea turned to face the siren and spoke,

"Daughter of the Siren Isle, as you can see, you are clearly outnumbered by my brothers, the Illiceanie. I grant you a choice in this game of the sea: do you wish a peaceful interraction or shall I allow my crew to unsheathe their weapons?"

(Yikes I'm such an amateur compared to you lot. Please bear with my dismal lack of RPG skills and writing.)

Amethyst tilted her head to the side as she stared up at the Lady General. Never before had she seen a female with such commanding power over a whole crew. Amethyst was in awe and yet she felt the danger crackling around this lady and she felt threatened. Amethyst's wide blue eyes narrowed as the female addressed her. Amethyst knew she was outnumbered, even with her sister close by, their numbers had greatly diminished.

Amethyst was not prepared for such a mighty ship. She was used to wreckage and injured sailors who could not resist her song. She recognised the crew, ancient foes from long ago. Amethyst felt a twinge of fear, but she dare not show it to these intruders. She knew what option would be the best for her beloved isle, but couldn't help speaking in a rebellious manner.

"You speak of peace and yet you intrude my waters and attempt to intimidate me in my own home. I do not take these matters lightly."

Amethyst needed her sister, for she was much wiser and stronger.

(OOC: No worries, Amethyst! We love your contributions!)

Arcea's piercing gaze examined the siren glaring up at her. The Lady General eased her own fierce expression to a more diplomatic one,

"Indeed, as you say I am in your rightful home. Perhaps if sirens were known to still roam these waters I would have circled around. In truth, my coarse is directed past this small section of the ocean but the wreckage ahead intrigued me. I'll offer a peaceful deal with you then. Let us both investigate the wreckage, you take and play with whatever interests you, and we will take the rest. Is this agreeable to you?"

She could feel the static of tension behind her back emanating from her crew. No doubt they recoiled at the thought of making deals with sirens - most would, even without an ages old dispute - but in the span of her many travels and dealings Arcea had learned that at times the oddest of deals were the most advantagious. She would likely have a discussion in counsel with her crew later on, but they trusted her enough to go with her decisions and contend them later if they disagreed.

Post by Musikaman Mon Sep 16, 2013 9:51 pm

Spluttering brine and gasping for air, Charon launched himself from the water trying to make his tired legs work against the eddy the claimed wreckage was creating in the water about him. A few powerful strokes took him beyond range of the dead ships pull and he settled in the water to catch his breath. Bringing a hand up to clear his eyes, he looked about until he spied the narrow reef the ship was once lodged on and swam over to take a seat and consider his options, finding a hand hold to steady himself against the sea.

His sight settled out onto the island. He had only some small idea of the course the captain of the ship was taking, and knew very little of the land between his home and destination. The island was a good mile or two away from his position. He wasn't a practiced swimmer, but in good enough shape that he worried little over reaching shore. Small mounds of coral visible where sea water foamed would also provide a respite if he found himself tiring.

The island was several miles across at least. Sheer cliffs stretched up from the ocean as if trying to touch the sky.  A small golden beach beckoned in the suns rays boxed in by overgrown vegetation. Plants meant fresh water. Maybe even fruit to eat. His parched throat burned at the thought of drinkable water. The remains of the ship had disappeared too quickly for him to rummage any rations or supplies. He cursed at himself for resting after releasing himself.

Charon lowered himself into the water and began to swim with long sure strokes when suddenly the most beautiful of sounds filled his ears. He stopped abruptly and looked about trying to locate the source of the symphony that was lifting his soul to heights of ecstasy. There! In the distance a ship and the most beautiful of women singing in the water! Tears ran down his face. Never before in his life had something touched his heart like this song. He must reach her. She needed him! Turning towards the ship and swimming through the water with abandon he made his way towards the salivation the song promised. Then abruptly it ceased.

His swimming slowed and he stopped. Confusion brought him from the fog that lay over his mind moments before. Then the slow cold dread of realization settled its weight upon him. Siren Isle. He was stranded off the shores of one of the most infamous places his land knew of. What madness had pushed the ships captain to take a course so close to this island! Surely their mission was urgent, but not so much as to risk not reaching their destination at all for the sake of days of travel. He had to escape. He could see the woman in the water, the siren, speaking with someone aboard the ship... or so it appeared from this distance. The island was his only hope, even though it's inhabitants would likely chain him with their songs and hold him captive until they tired of him. He didn't dwell on the stories. There were so few survivors of encounters with sirens that any tale lacked credence.

Focus, he told himself. With that, Charon oriented himself once again in sight of the island and began swimming. Only to find himself staring into deep probing aquamarine eyes, surrounded by pale skin, and ink black hair. Then he sank into the water.

    Edit: Brats.

    (OOC: *claps*)

*Amethyst took in the Lady's face, trying to read her. She eyed the lizardmen with distaste before turning her gaze back to the Lady. Amethyst didn't trust this crew, but the urge to see what treasures lay at the wreckage and the possibility of a human toy was just too intense. She knew her sister had gone in that direction also. To deny this deal was foolish, however, she could see loopholes and had to be specific in her agreement.

"I will agree to you coming with me to investigate the wreckage. Your crew, however, must wait on this ship. I will take what I want, once I've left the site of the wreckage, then you and the crew will take the rest. You will take the rest of whatever you like from the wreckage and then leave these waters. Does this suit you?

*The tip of her violet coloured tail tapped impatiently beneath the ocean surface, itching to get to that wreckage, while she kept steady eye contact with the strong and powerful Lady General.*

The Lady's Secondere, Karsdir, strode across the deck to her side, his boots thumping sharply on its surface. In his native tongue he whispered with staccato hisses in her ear, concerned for her well-being and wanting to join her side. Still keeping eye contact with the siren Arcea softly responded to Karsdir, to which he paused and slowly stepped back to join the crew. She appraised the creature a moment more,

"I will agree to your terms, madame, but keep in mind that my crew and I expect for you to be fair and not cause harm or difficulty to myself, my ship, and my crew. Nor will you allow any other source to cause harm. I will join you to investigate the wreckage and we will follow your terms, but my crew will be at the ready to destroy you and all these water's inhabitants should you betray your word. Agreed?"

Assuming the siren's cooperation the Lady General snapped her fingers and two of her crew crossed the deck to begin unfastening a small boat from its restraints.

"There he is..." Sea Girl thought to herself as she pounded her hands and tail against the violent waves, trying desperately to reach the strong looking man who had just launched in to the water, almost unconditionally. She could tell already, he was a man of the sea. Is he friend, or is he foe? These kinds of thoughts were a constant struggle for her, she only ever wanted to play, wanted to surround herself with humans and creatures to entertain her, items and objects of such grandeur so as to enhance the beauty she already aspired to have. He would make a wonderfully beautiful trophy. But he may be much, much more.....Only one way to find out.....

Her dark green and blue tail whipped against the foamy waves caressing her flesh, she twisted and turned within the angry sea, her home. Have to get to the man. The Sea Man. The one who she felt, strangely, like she didn't have to worry about. Like he already knew her. Her hair wrapping her arms and torso like some black fire coiling around its victim, she finally reached where the man was, swimming for an unseen haven. She let her voice loose. Shrill, wanting and fearless, it escaped her throat as if unprompted. Oh yes, he noticed. His face changed, acknowledging the need in her tone, sympathising with the notes she sung. Now he will feel the same connection she so absent mindedly felt.

He turned the bulk of his body toward her, eyes piercing through the moonlight. He wanted to be her White Knight, she could tell. He wanted to save her. But she had to be sure.....

As she appeared in front of the man, her eyes taking in his sea worn face, every bit of stubble and experience etched in the jagged lines of his features, she let the edge of her lips curl, ever so slightly as she started pulling him under the surface, in to the depth that is her home.

Sea Girl knew her sister had control of things, she knew that the beautiful woman she had seen before was now meeting with her amythest of the sea... It would not harm anyone to play with this man, who intrigued her so, just for a little while. If he could prove his endurance, Sea Girl knew she could trust him enough to help her and her sister rebuilt Siren Isle, she just knew it. None of her other playthings had shown such promise but there was something, something in his eyes....

As the man's strength wavered and she realised he was running out of air, she leaned her face in close to his. Those interesting eyes took in the form of her. He never once struggled. Never once. Does this man want to die or does he trust me as unconditionally as he trusted the sea, when he threw himself off his sinking ship? His eyes flicked their gaze to her deep, blue eyes, her mouth, neck, then traced the fine strands of her ebony hair and began to roll back. Deeper and deeper, they went, the underwater world around them becoming a blackened and unclear haze.

Just before her lips touched his, before he lost complete consciousness, she blew a large bubble, a perfect circle of oxygen, which instantly attached itself to his mouth and nose.

"I have gills, dear one, just beyond the hairline behind my ears but I daresay you will need this bubble, if I am to show you the wonders beneath Siren Isle...." She whispered. The man shook his head, as if stunned by the bubble encompassing his face and then calmed, muscles relaxed, gaze on the contrasted beauty before him. Blinking in acknowledgement. "If you do not trust me, say so now, I will take the bubble away and leave you to your defenses.... If you are willing to see the trouble in my world, willing to help me.... Willing to TRUST me, then, the bubble stays. All is your choice. Your choice is your destiny." She did not want to wait for a reply, she grabbed his hand and guided him further in to a world he had almost known but not quite scratched the surface of before......
